The CLOtest®
A point-of-care biopsy test designed by Professor Barry Marshall (Nobel Laureate 2005) and Gastroenterology professionals. Specifically designed for ease of use by endoscopy nursing staff in endoscopy theatres. . It is the largest selling Rapid Urease Test (RUT) in the world. It has significant advantages in that it is highly accurate, (98% sensitivity, 97% specifically) gives fast results (a trained operator can read results in less that 5 minutes). It is the most highly respected test of it's kind globally and considered the "Gold-Standard" RUT for the detection of Helicobacter pylori.
