Tri-Med & Pylorium take part in the World Congress of Gastroenterology 2026

Released on : Oct. 06, 2026

As part of the World Congress of Gastroenterology held in New Delhi, Tri-Med and Pylorium hosted a group of India’s leading gastroenterologists, clinicians and thought leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of H.pylori diagnosis.

Tri-Med Chief Executive, Aiden Blechynden and Pylorium Country Head, Bhanu Rahoni welcomed attendees before Tri-Med founder Professor Barry Marshall, joined his Indian colleagues for a panel discussion which considered a range of issues including H. pylori diagnosis, clinical practice and the future of Gastroenterology.

The forty or so guests discussed how Urea Breath Tests could be utilised by local gastroenterologists to ensure eradication of H. pylori infection, post treatment.

In particular, the group agreed that given the correlation with H. pylori infection with conditions such as gastritis and gastric cancer, as well as the high occurrence of the cagA variant, the need for ‘proof of cure’ was critical.

What made the evening special was the opportunity of bringing together different generations of gastroenterologists; experienced leaders sharing their perspectives, and younger doctors bringing fresh questions and ideas.

The evening was a great success - made more so by the efforts of Dr Aniruddha Pratap Singh who chaired the panel discussion which included Dr Nageshwar Reddy from AIG Hospital, Dr Randhir Sud from Medanta Hospital,  Dr Anil Arora from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Dr Ajay Kumar from Max Hospital.
